Long story short,
Last January 2026, I closed an important chapter, leaving my chair as a mechanical designer with nothing but gratitude. Before jumping into a new career, I got the chance to complete one of the wildest projects of my life (so far).
June 2025. I’m in California for work when my boss Gab calls: “Would you design, fabricate, manage and deliver a monster truck shaped like a giant Vans shoe?” Timeline: 7 weeks. Didn’t think twice. I was in. Quick stop in Nova Scotia to measure the truck, then back to Québec to start designing. Days got longer, nights got shorter. The hood had to be shaped entirely by hand, this is how I learned to roll sheet metal like a custom car builder.
Huge thanks to AP, Marco, Mitch and Guy for grinding through the build and final assembly with me. 2 days, precisely 36 hours of final assembly… there it was. A fully functional giant Vans shoe Bigfoot. Three days later it was painted and delivered at the Dime Glory Challenge. The moment it was done, the emotions hit that mix of exhaustion, stress finally dropping, and a sense of accomplishment.
A childhood dream project that helped close one chapter and open another.

Following an intense fabrication stretch, I had the opportunity to be part of the production behind the launch campaign for the Vans Bigfoot at the Dime Glory Challenge.
Beyond the cameras and the build, it's the people I meet along the way that make these experiences memorable. Stoked to spend the day documenting the process alongside the Vans marketing and creative team.
A few BTS frames from the production day.
